Most of you might know PEO PETTERSSON as lead vocalist of the christian
melodicrockers LEVITICUS (1988-1990) or from his classic
solo debut „Look What I’ve Started“ that is still
one of the best Scandinavian AOR pieces ever. After releasing the hard
to find “Man Behind The Face”, the reissue of “Look
What I’ve Started” and his latest release “Better
Not Forget”, PEO now is back with something completely different.
“Climbing To The Sun” is not really a melodicrock album,
but an acoustic based , westcoast influenced album for your next summer
holidays. Just listen to the warm and tender instrumental tracks like
“A Carta” or “Savbor De Coco”, the Westcoast
infected “Hundred Days” that reminds me of VENICE or the
smooth “You’re Wakking My Heart Again”, a classic
tune in the vein of JOSEPH WILLIAMS meets JASON
SCHEFF or just the catchy “Over And Over” that
sounds like THOMAS VIKSTRÖM, you can hear with
every song that PEO does this record with a lot of feeling and passion.
Go for “Climbing To The Sun” if you are looking for a smooth
soundtrack for your next summer holidays. Just sit back, relax and enjoy
ten songs of great music! Dirk Nitschke
